REGULATION TO THE SUBMITTION OF SCIENTIFIC WORK

- The abstracts for the scientific papers must be sent through our website. Access the FREE THEMES button.

ATTENTION: It will be necessary to create an initial register for the Free Themes System. After clicking on Free Themes Submission, a new screen will pop up in which it is necessary to click on “Fist Access” to register your personal information, e-mail and create a password. Remember the password register and keep it with you for any access to this field.

- All the papers must be submitted in Portuguese:

- The deadline for the submission of papers is July 31th, and there will be no extensions.

- Case Reports


Will always be presented as posters. The authors must submit their case report papers in the poster format, in .ppt extension (power point) you can find attached a example of a poster format. The papers must have a simple, structured abstract, with a maximum of 3,000. They cannot contain any bibliographic references, graphs, tables or images, and must be uploaded directly through the scientific papers submission system.

- Original papers:

The papers must have a simple, structured abstract, with a maximum of 3,000. They cannot contain any bibliographic references, graphs, tables or images, and must be uploaded directly through the scientific papers submission system. The text must prepared according to the rules of publication for the Revista Brasileira de Otorrinolaringologia, in the so-called IMRDC format: introduction, materials and method, results, discussion and conclusion.

The expanded abstract, which must contain a maximum of five pages including the graphs, tables, black and white images, must be structured in the IMRDC format: introduction, materials and method, results, discussion and conclusion. It must be sent as an attached Word format document, simultaneously to the submission of the simple abstract, in the specific field. The expanded abstracts that do not follow the rules described in this item will be automatically eliminated.

- The authors must include their abstract in the following categories: Thesis, Clinical abstract or Experimental abstract. The original papers must be submitted to evaluation by examination board, and some papers will be chosen for oral presentation. The other papers will be presented in poster format.

- All the papers selected for oral presentation will compete for prizes in the respective areas, that is, Thesis, Clinical abstract and Experimental abstract.

- As some papers will compete for a prize, it is very important not to mention the name of the service where the abstract was developed in the abstract or in any part of the abstract. The original service, as well as the name of the authors, must be filled out in the specific fields of the online registration.

- In order for the abstract to be accepted, the main author or presenter must be registered in the Congress. Therefore, as soon as your paper is submitted, register on the website. To carry out your pre-registration, click on “Registration – Online”.

- A maximum of seven authors will be accepted for each abstract.

- The main author will receive the information if his/her abstract is approved through the e-mail address informed during the registration.

-  Send abstracts only through the online system. They will not be accepted if submitted via email.

- Print a copy of the automatic confirmation message generated at the end of the free themes submission process, and keep it with you. Every free theme submitted will generate a specific receipt.
