Praias do litoral Norte by buggy – U$250,00 (por buggy)
A full-day excursion follows the beaches of Redinha, Santa Rita, Genipabu, Barra do Rio, Graçandu and Pitangui to Jacumã. On the way, we climb the famous dunes of Genipabu, where the most exciting part of the trip takes place: buggy riding through the dunes, stopping at three great freshwater lagoons — Genipabu, Pitangui and Jacumã. There’s time for bathing in a location with bar and leisure facilities, such as sand tobogganing. |
Maracajaú – R$ U$65,00
70 km from Natal, Maracajaú is known as the “Brazilian Caribbean” and offers all then excitement and natural beauty of a beach untouched by urbanisation. There’s free time for lunch. |

Pipa – U$40,00
Leaving the hotels in the morning and following the BR 101 highway, after 90 km we reach the municipality of Tibau do Sul and one of the coast’s most charming spots – the beach of Pipa. Considered to be one of Brazil’s ten most beautiful beaches, there are cliffs where part of the Atlantic Rainforest is preserved, overlooking a chain of coves. We will visit the beach of Cacimbinhas and the village of Pipa and its stores, with a stop for bathing. The beaches of Amor and Baía dos Golfinhos (“Dolphin Bay”) can be reached by walking along the seafront, tide permitting. |

Cunhaú – U$49,00
After breakfast, we take the BR 101 highway for 90 km to Capela dos Mártires de Cunhaú, a chapel built in tribute to the only Brazilians ever to be made saints by the Catholic Church. Following this brief stop, visitors are taken up the estuary of the River Cunhaú, where shrimp farms can be seen, then to the beach of Cunhaú. This pleasant spot, with tide pools at the confluence of river and sea, has excellent cuisine. The tour finishes with a boat trip on the River Cunhaú to see the mangroves where local fishermen catch crabs and enchanting mini-beaches appear at low tide. |
Baía Formosa – U$36,00
Located 100 km down the southern coast, near the border with Paraíba State, Baía Formosa is a traditional fishing village and favourite surfing spot, as beautiful and charming as the name (“Shapely Bay”) suggests.
An optional buggy trip takes vistors to a manatee reproduction area on the River Guaju. Nearby there’s an Atlantic Rainforest reservation with a wealth of flora and fauna, plus a lagoon with reddish-brown waters nicknamed the “Coca-Cola Lake”. The trip includes several of the region’s beaches. |
|
Galinhos – U$55,00
A semi-deserted beach 170 km from Natal on the Costa Branca — the northern coast of the state —, with a population of around 2 thousand, the village of Galinhos is on a small peninsula reached only by boat, the coach remaining on the quay. Mangroves, dunes, salt pans and oilfields make up the landscape, fascinating tourists that come to discover this fishing village where carts are used as taxis and the only cars are the visitors’ 4x4s. It’s a day of complete relaxation in this unique, secluded corner of the Rio Grande do Norte coastline where everything happens very slowly. |
